Welcome
Shaolin Kempo Martial Arts students are trained in the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of Shaolin Kempo Karate. This style, developed by Buddhist Monks, originated in China around 495 AD and incorporates self defense techniques, exercise and meditation.
Each student’s individual journey as a Martial Artist is emphasized, during which physical strength, speed and endurance are promoted. Training in Ju Jitsus, self defense and weapons techniques are also an integral part of our style of martial arts training. Our schools’ philosophy is based on respect, self control, discipline and focus. Students are expected to exhibit these qualities in the dojo during class, at school and at home.
All classes are held in a fully equipped and spacious Dojo. Students are taught by four adult Black Belt Instructors, as well as, nine well trained Assistant Instructors. Unlike most contemporary martial arts schools, there are no contracts to be signed.
Day and evening classes are offered Monday through Thursday. Classes are also offered on Saturday morning. Classes are broken down by age and belt rank as follows:
- Beginning Tigers [White to Purple Belt]: 3 to 8 years.
- Advanced Tigers [Blue to Brown Belt]: 3 to 8 years.
- Leopards Preteens/Teens [All Belt Ranks]: 9 to 18 yrs.
- Adult [All Belt Ranks]: 18 & Up.
We also offer classes in Women’s Self Defense, Kettle bells and QiGong. See our schedule page for details and class times.
Our School Moto Says It All:
“As Martial Artists, we lead by example, treating others the way we want to be treated. We do the right thing, whether we want to or not. We use self control, and take responsibility for our actions. We only use our martial arts when bodily harm comes our way.”
Sensei Dan Arnini,
